What is (MY) life...?

Hello Friend(s)!

It’s been four years since I have posted on this blog. To be honest, time slipped away with the mundane day to day activities while also living a nomadic life, however I never forgot about Happily Exploring. I’ve been longing to return to this little corner of the internet, so here I am. To break the ice, I figured i’d recap what has happened in the last four years.

2021:

Sadie, sadie, married lady, that’s ME!

The pandemic changed the trajectory of my life. In 2021 I eloped and married my boyfriend of three years, with whom I have been adventuring with the last three years. Though not ideal, and definitely a heartbreak for my Catholic mother, my wedding was the best day of my life (cliché, I know). As newlyweds we decided to make Texas our first home in order to live close to our extended family, however at the end of the year mark, we shifted gears to pursue a nomadic life.

Happily Married…

2022:

Back to the gypsy…that I was.

Travel has always been a key component of my life. For a while my travels had been paused, primarily due to the pandemic. However, working remote has many perks, the most important being the ability to work from any place at any time. With that kind of freedom, my husband and I decided to take advantage of the circumstances and travel the U.S. We visited over 12 states, 55 cities, and 13 national parks. However, there was one place that kept calling our name.

Send me on my way…

2023:

If you can hear me prayin’…

The lows of life hit hard at the beginning of the year when a family emergency required me to relocate back to the small town I grew up in. I spent a lot less time traveling, more time with family, and a lot of time reflecting on the future. During this time, I grew in my faith and felt a calling to return to a chapter in my life that I thought had concluded. After much prayer, my husband and I relocated 1,427 miles away from our families to the sunny city of Los Angeles.

2023

There’s no place like home…

2024:

California dreaming…

After six months of slowly settling in, I started off the year in my dream home, living my dream life, just day dreaming about all the fun explorations we hope to partake in this year as we explore every corner of California. Which leads us to this moment and returning back to Happily Exploring.

I am thrilled to be back on this corner of the internet where I can share this chapter of my life with you, along with all my findings and adventures. I know my family and friends appreciate all my tips and recommendations when it comes to both travel and day to day life. I hope you will too! Thank you for being a friend, be sure to subscribe for the latest post. :)

2024

I’d be safe and warm, if I was in Los Angeles…
